Venue Profile: The May Fair Hotel, London

A luxurious 5 star hotel, The May Fair hotel is a fantastic venue to hold an event, being one of London’s most talked-about private party venues. It can cater for meetings and events for up to 370 delegates.


The hotel has a great spot in Central London. A five minute walk from Green Park station which connects to all major lines. It also has good links to Euston/Kings Cross St Pancras station and Heathrow airport (from the Piccadilly line).

First Impressions

The entrance is very modern – grand but not too overwhelming. The reception area smelt amazing when we arrived (scents are pumped into the rooms throughout the hotel) which definitely gave off a good first impression! The décor of the hotel is lovely; it has many Asian elements to it, with lots of orchids and Buddha’s throughout.


For meetings and training, there are eleven stylish private rooms, all very uniquely decorated and have a very excutive feel to them alongside state of the art AV. The majority have natural daylight too. For conferences and larger events, there is the Crystal Room which could seat up to 260 for a dinner and 370 for a reception. This room was our favourite; very beautiful and luxurious with a massive Crystal Chandelier. The room has a private entrance onto Berkeley Street which means you don’t have to go through the main hotel to access it. The Danziger Suite (named after the family owners of the May Fair Hotel – Hollywood impresarios, the Danziger brothers), is also impressive and can cater for large events, with the option to divide the room into two.

The hotel also had a theatre for up to 201 guests (one of the largest private screening rooms in the city).This room would work well for premiers, theatres and product launches.

Being a five star hotel, the bedrooms are beautifully decorated and even the standard room are lovely. The suites are huge and particularly impressive.

Service and Food

The staff were amazing – so attentive and helpful. The concierge staff are all waiting for guests to arrive in the reception area as you walk in, and are more than happy to help with anything.

We really enjoyed the food too, it was one of the nicest meals we’d had! We ordered Italian/Spanish style tapas and had 6 dishes to share between two – the portions were great! This type of food would be ideal for a networking event. The atmosphere in the restaurant was lovely and our waiters looked after us really well. There is also a popular bar on site which gets very busy in the evening.
