The Sundial SOS team bring a wide range of experience and expertise to the business. They each share a common passion to work collaboratively with clients to help find the right venue for their needs and to deliver the best possible event.

Rebecca Carter

General Manager

Being General Manager of Sundial SOS is a great privilege.

I joined Sundial Group over 12 years ago (2003), and over those years have been fortunate enough to gain valuable experience in all aspects of the the hospitality business; from understanding what it takes to run a venue successfully, to finding venues, to delivering excellent client and supplier relationships, to managing and building a strong and happy team.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, two young girls (who give me a lot of different challenges to contend with!) as well as visiting the theatre and enjoying a glass of wine (or two) with my friends!

Fiona Arrowsmith

I joined Sundial SOS in May 2010, having spent many years working for different hotel groups, both venue and agency-side.

In my current role as Account Manager, I work with a range of exciting clients, providing them with knowledge, help and support when they’re organising their events, as well as providing management information.

When not at work, I enjoy spending time with my family, walking my dog, Harry, and going to the theatre.

Rachel Buswell

Account Manager

I started working for SOS in May 2012 after finishing an Event Management degree at Sheffield Hallam University.

I began my career as Venue Finding Consultant and progressed to Account Manager in 2016. I now manage our key accounts from a variety of industry sectors; Food and Beverage, Automotive, Construction and Education.

My role involves venue finding, negotiating multi-year deals, implementing tailored client booking processes and consulting clients in all aspects of their venue finding needs. I’m often required to be on-site at client events, supporting clients whilst their event runs, which I love. I’m also the Sundial SOS expert on venues in France, Sweden and Brussels.

Outside of work I like spending time with my friends and family and I enjoy swimming and walking.

Laura Brewster

Business Support Analyst

I joined Sundial SOS in 2004 as Venue Finding Consultant after completing a BA degree in Leisure Management at University College Birmingham.

My role is now Business Support Analyst, which involves me working on a number of projects ranging from; managing our client’s Billback systems, overseeing all commercial aspects of the business and supporting the team in all aspects of our business.

I’m responsible for our supplier relationships and organising the ‘Knowledge Programme’ for the team, helping to ensure everyone has a wide knowledge and experience of the venues we recommend to our clients. I also manage our IT system, ensuring it’s always working as efficiently as possible for us all.

When I’m not at work I enjoy spending time with my friends and family.

Maria Plumbridge

Venue Finding Consultant

I started working for Sundial SOS in March 2017 and have been in the industry since 2012, working for another midlands based agency. I also worked in HR for a short period of time in-between.

As part of the Venue Finding Team, my role involves communicating with venues and negotiating rates to get the best options for our clients. I also enjoy working with a range of clients and attending industry and networking events.

In my spare time I enjoy cooking, spending time with my family, going out with friends and running (or trying to!).

Florence Bryce

Venue Finding Consultant

Before joining Sundial SOS in April 2018 I had previously always worked in the travel industry so events is a new and exciting challenge for me.

My key responsibilities include working closely with our clients to source venues for a variety of different events, building relationships with both national and international venues, negotiating industry rates and assisting with the business development of SOS. One of my favourite elements of my role is attending networking and industry events as well as building my knowledge of our venue portfolio.

In my free time I can either be found in the yoga studio, exploring the beautiful English countryside on my bike or with friends enjoying a G&T!

Sarah Roberts

Venue Finding Consultant

I joined Sundial SOS in April 2018, having previously worked as a hotel receptionist at a hotel in the East Midlands.

As part of the Venue Finding Team, I am responsible for communicating with both clients and venues, building relationships and finding venue solutions. My role involves meeting and exceeding expectations of clients, and helping them enjoy the event planning process! I really value attending industry events, networking and building my venue knowledge via site visits.

In my spare time I enjoy reading, spending time with my family, watching films and walking my 3 dogs; Ralph, Rodney and Meg.
